HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR THE BARRE + YOGA EXPERIENCE CLASSES?

IT'S MY FIRST YOGA/FITNESS CLASS! WHICH ONE SHOULD I TAKE?
All BYE’s classes are designed to be accessible for all levels and abilities. Our instructors are trained to provide modifications and alternative exercises throughout class. If you’ve never taken a Barre class before, we suggest our signature Barre class, Barre | Experience. If you’re looking to try Yoga, Yoga | Experience is a great option! All our classes are described in more detail under The Classes in the menu.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST YOGA OR BARRE CLASS?
You don’t have to prepare! Just sign up, show up and have fun! If you’re taking a heated class, we do ask that you’re well-hydrated. 

WHAT SHOULD I BRING FOR MY FIRST YOGA OR BARRE CLASS?
You don’t need much, just a water bottle, mask and grip socks. We offer complimentary mats, equipment, towels and beauty products. You are required to wear grip socks only if you borrow a mat, and we offer them for sale in our boutique for $16. 

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN MY FIRST YOGA OR BARRE CLASS?
Expect to move your body, have fun and sweat a little (or a lot)! You might want to sing and dance at times (our trainers take their DJ skills very seriously)!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO A YOGA OR BARRE CLASS?
Anything you’re comfortable in that allows your body to move freely, such as leggings and a tank top or joggers and a t-shirt. If you wear socks during class, they must be grip socks to prevent slipping, and grip socks are required when using a studio mat.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE TO THE STUDIO?
The studio is open 10 minutes prior to class time. If it’s your first class at BYE, please try to arrive the full 10 minutes before class, and for everyone else, we ask that you arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the start of class.

I'M NOT A DANCER AND I'M NOT FLEXIBLE, ARE THESE CLASSES FOR ME?
Yes! You don’t need any dance background to participate in these classes, and if you’re not flexible, that’s even more of a reason to try it out!

I'M PREGNANT, CAN I STILL PARTICIPATE?
Yes! Yes! Yes! Our Barre + Yoga classes are a perfect low-impact option for movement and exercise during pregnancy and the postpartum journey. All of our exercises can be modified for expecting mothers. Please notify your instructor prior to class so they can offer you assistance as needed and always check with your doctor before trying any new form of exercise while pregnant.

DO YOU PROVIDE MATS OR SHOULD I BRING MY OWN?
Mats are provided free of charge, but you’re welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer. If you do borrow a mat, please note that grip socks are required and available for purchase in our boutique.

DOES BYE OFFER SHOWERS AND A CHANGING AREA?
We don’t have showers, but we do offer complimentary beauty products to help you feel refreshed! There is a bathroom on site, but due to COVID-19, we are currently asking that you come to class prepared and limit changing if possible. 

WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS DURING CLASS?
Shoes can be left in the front lobby. In Smithfield, all other personal belongings can be stored in the cubbies and hooks along the back wall of the studio. In Plainville, we provide state of the art lockers with keyless locks to safely store your belongings during class (no padlock required). Currently, each client will also have a designated workout area equipped with a basket in which you may store small personal items in during class as well. 

CAN I BRING MY CHILD TO CLASS?
Unless otherwise specified, all BYE classes are intended for individuals over the age of 16. Anyone under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian’s signature to participate, and we do not allow anyone under the age of 18 to participate in any heated classes, even with a parent’s signature. We do not allow children to wait in the lobby during class. Thank you for understanding! 

I'M RUNNING LATE, CAN I STILL PARTICIPATE IN CLASS?
We get it, life happens! We do lock studio doors 5 minutes after class begins, so please try to arrive 5 minutes early so you don’t lose your spot! 

HOW DO I KNOW IF A CLASS IS CANCELLED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER?
Please make sure your contact info is updated on the BYE app. We’ll notify you via email and text if class is cancelled, at least 4 hours prior to class time.

WHAT'S YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Virtual Classes are exempt from all cancellation fees. For classes booked in-studio, you can cancel 12 or more hours before class without penalty and the class will be credited back to your account. Within 12 hours of class, cancellations will result in the loss of the class. For unlimited pass holders, you will be charged a $10 late cancellation fee for cancelling within 12 hours of class or $20 for a no show. All members using a class pack or single class will lose their class credit for a late cancellation and be charged $20 for a no show. We have a 24 hour cancellation window for special events. The card on file will be charged 24 hours prior to the event, and we do not offer refunds. If the special event is free, late cancellation and no show fees do still apply.

HOW MANY CLASSES SHOULD I TAKE PER WEEK TO SEE RESULTS?
We suggest 3-5 classes per week to see optimal results. Consistency is key!

WHEN DO MY CLASSES EXPIRE?
6 months from the date of purchase, unless otherwise specified. If you are unable to use your classes within
6 months due to COVID-19, you must contact us for an extension before your classes expire.

CAN I TRANSFER MY CLASSES TO A FRIEND?
Classes can only be used by the individual who purchased them. Thank you for understanding our policy!

WHAT ADDED PRECAUTIONS ARE YOU TAKING BECAUSE OF COVID-19?
Before class, all staff and class participants must answer COVID-19 screening questions. For contact-tracing purposes, we do not allow walk-ins at this time, so please book all classes in advance. During class, the instructor and all participants must wear a mask and maintain social-distancing by remaining in their designated area. In your designated area, you will find hand sanitizer and tissues as well as a bottle of sanitizing solution that you may use as needed. If you are borrowing a studio mat, you will need to wear grip socks for the duration of class. After each class, all equipment and high-touch areas are sanitized with an all-natural, EPA-certified disinfectant and/or UV wand. We have extended the time between classes to provide additional cleaning between classes. We now run a state of the art air purifier during all classes as well to eliminate viruses, bacteria, and allergens from the air.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF INFRARED HEATING PANELS?
The infrared heating panels in our Plainville location heat objects rather than heating the air, and the result is a comforting warmth, much like the Sun! The heat helps relax your muscles, provides pain relief, detoxes the body, and helps you melt deeper into your practice without the spread of allergens and dust associated with forced-air heat.

DO YOU OFFER VIRTUAL CLASSES?
